Visits Are In Person

How Care Works Here

Appointments at Gables Pain take place at our Coral Gables office. Interventional pain management rests on a hands-on physical examination and on image-guided procedures, so your evaluation, your treatment and your follow-up all happen in person.

You see Dr. Steinberger himself at each visit. The physician who evaluates you is the one who performs your procedure, which keeps the thread of your care in one pair of hands.

If something comes up between visits, call the office during business hours and leave a message with a number where you can be reached. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. The practice does not provide emergency or after-hours medical care.

Office Policies

Cancellation Policy

We understand that schedules change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as far ahead as you can, ideally at least 24 hours, so the time can be offered to another patient who is waiting. Procedures that need preparation beforehand are worth telling us about earlier still. Call the office at (305) 204-5917 to change an appointment, and ask there if you have a question about how the cancellation policy applies to your visit.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled time to complete any necessary paperwork. If you are running late, call the office and let us know. Depending on how full the day is, we may need to shorten or reschedule your visit so that your evaluation still gets the time it needs and patients booked after you are not left waiting.

Missed Appointments

A missed appointment without notice means a slot goes unused that another patient was waiting for. If you do miss one, call the office and we will get you rebooked. The earlier you can tell us about a change, the easier it is to give that time to someone else.

Insurance & Payment

Gables Pain is in network with Medicare, Florida Medicaid, Humana, Cigna, Oscar, Ambetter and other plans; the full list is on our insurance page. If you are not sure whether we take yours, call the office at (305) 204-5917 before you schedule, and bring your insurance card to your first visit. We verify your coverage ahead of the appointment. Co-pays are due at the time of service. Any question about coverage or payment is best put to the office directly.
