Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to patients of every ability

Gables Pain wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to learn about our care and reach our office through this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most widely used for websites in the United States.

Need help? Contact us directly

If any part of this website is hard for you to use, please tell us and we will give you the information or help you need another way, including scheduling an appointment by phone.

When you report a problem, it helps to tell us the page address and what happened, but you do not need to. We read every report and use it to fix the site.

The accessibility menu

Select the round accessibility button in the bottom-left corner of any page to change how the site looks for you. Your settings are saved on your own device and are not sent to us.

  • Text size: make all text larger, up to 150%.
  • High contrast: darker text and colors on plain white backgrounds.
  • Highlight links: underline and highlight every link.
  • Readable font: replace the decorative fonts with a plain, wide typeface.
  • Text spacing: more space between lines, letters and words.
  • Stop animations: turn off fades and motion. The site also follows your device’s “reduce motion” setting.

The menu adds to, and does not replace, the tools you may already use, such as screen readers, browser zoom and your device’s display settings. The site is built to work with them.

What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and starts with a link that skips straight to the main content.
  • Pages use headings, landmarks and labels that screen readers can announce.
  • Images that carry information have text descriptions.
  • Text colors were checked against their backgrounds and adjusted to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text, not color alone.
  • The video on our home page has captions and a written transcript.
  • The site works when text is enlarged or the browser is zoomed, and on phones in either orientation.
  • We test pages with automated accessibility checks and by hand. Our cookie banner can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time project. We review the site when we add or change content. If you find something we have missed, please let us know using the contact details above.
